Desert Ski Club is returning to Whitefish, MT (formally known as Big Mountain). We will board Amtrak Thursday night March 4th to begin our trek to Montana. Friday morning we will arrive in Whitefish ready to hit the slopes. We have reserved a few sleeping berths for an additional $92/person round trip double occupancy. On arrival, Grouse Mountain Lodge's shuttle will transport us to the hotel. After check-in we will head to the ski slope, which is one of Montana's top 2 resorts. After 3 days of skiing we will check out of our hotel Sunday evening to begin our return trip arriving in Pasco Monday morning.Montana is 'Big Sky (ski?) Country' and Whitefish is a large resort that hasn't lost its friendliness. You can get a spectacular view of the peaks of Glacier National Park from the lodge at the top of the resort. You'll enjoy the Western style town of Whitefish and all of its offerings.

There has been a lot of interest in this trip. We have limited space available so I expect the trip to fill up at the next club meeting. More people have expressed interest in going than we have space for. Once the trip is filled I will start a paid waiting list, then we will try to reserve more seats on the train to accommodate additional people.

Remember, in order to sign up for a trip you must be a member of the Desert Ski Club. Sign ups are first come first served with $100 deposit to hold your spot. If you have given me your name as being interested in the trip it does not hold a spot for you. Sign-ups are beginning on November 5th at the club meeting.

The cost for the trip is $385. This includes train travel, 3 days of skiing, 2 nights' accommodations double occupancy at Grouse Mountain Lodge, and a gathering for our troupe on Saturday night.
